Meet Our Team

  • Dr.
    Michael A. Wooten
    Chiropractic Healer/Sports Enthusiast

Dr. Michael Wooten has been a treating Chiropractic Physician in the Long Beach area since 1994.  Born and raised in Southern California, he received his primary and secondary education here.  He was awarded his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the prestigious Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, where he had the distinction of graduating with Honors and was elected to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.

As an avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Wooten participated in five varsity sports during college. He is still active in tennis and volleyball and competes at the National level in both sports. In 1984 and 1985, he won the Collegiate Superstars Competition, enabling him to compete with World Class athletes in the Bahamas, which he won in 1985. It is no surprise that Dr. Wooten specializes in sports injuries and is currently working with members of the US Ski team, ATP and WTA professional tennis tours, members of the AVP professional beach volleyball association, along with local and National collegiate athletes. He also treats members of the US Equestrian Team (both human and equine). Dr. Wooten considers it a special privilege and honor to treat athletes in the Special Olympics and the United States disabled ski program. It is understandable why Dr. Wooten has such an immense skill and comprehension concerning bio-mechanics, exercise, nutrition, and general well-being.

At Alamitos Bay Chiropractic and Wellness Center, Dr. Wooten specializes in treating athletic, industrial, and automobile-related injuries. He is also a specialist in the management of chronic pain and has a particular interest in whole family nutrition and chiropractic wellness.

Your first visit begins with a consultation, assessment and orthopedic and neurological examination.  This includes your medical history and current health concerns.  Your unique lifestyle factors are reviewed, including occupational environment, daily stressors, diet and exercise patterns.  These factors are evaluated to determine what role they play in your health.

Our goal is to not only alleviate your current symptoms, but to treat the cause of your discomfort with conservative chiropractic care and through the application of your specifically designed wellness program (which may include bodywork and massage, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and nutritional counseling),  thus allowing you to lead a full and healthful life.

Alamitos Bay Chiropractic and Wellness Center is designed to provide you with the care and treatment you deserve.

  • Nina Michael
    Marketing and Promotions Manager/Music Enthusiast

Nina began her relationship with us as a patient.  Arduous business travel and an exhaustive work schedule led to a Worker’s Comp injury that made her a “regular” of the practice.  She began creating small marketing campaigns for Dr. Wooten that eventually led to her position as Marketing Manager Extraordinaire.   Nina maintains this website, so all promotions and suggestions may be directed to her on the “Contact Us” tab.

Nina is a Southern California native who received her education at our own Cal State Long Beach “several” years ago.  She enjoys seeking out new musical talent and loves exploring cultural events, summer street fairs and music festivals.

  • Tirzanya Allen

As long as Tirzanya can remember, she has enjoyed helping others with a specific passion for healing.  This passion led her to Charter College of Massage where she was certified in massage therapy.  She says she enjoys making others feel better with something that she was born with – her two hands.

Working at Alamitos Bay Chiropractic & Healing Center has opened her eyes to a great many things.  She is happy to have found her life’s calling early enough in life to share her expertise with the patients of an office she loves.  Tirzanya is always ready to learn something new and says that is what is so great about her field – you never know everything and you can always improve and get better.  She is a Native Californian and an attentive family–oriented mother.
